with my colleagues, although we also have a lot of important, significant, and at times quite

concerning news tonight. Number one, the Trump administration is taking the huge luxury jet gift

from Qatar. It may still cost taxpayers a lot. It may not even be constitutional. I have a report with new

material from one of the top ethics lawyers in the country about what could be done about it,

because if the Congress doesn't approve it and the courts think it's a gift, after all this,

Trump still might not get his hands on it. That's coming up tonight. Also a setback. And the

Speaker's plan to try to gut Medicaid.

This is important. One of those things where you say, how closely should you follow the Congress

if the thing's not even going to happen, but the things that could happen could affect

millions of people's health insurance. We want to keep an eye on the things that matter. So we're

going to get to that tonight as well. We begin with the Trump administration

taking these moves that according to the ACLU, to other legal experts, and to judges, to the

extent we're hearing clues from judges, involve the administration blatantly abusing governmental,

nonpartisan power for partisan political ends.

That might make cases fall apart.

It might be what's called selective prosecution.

And in some cases, depending on where it ends,

it could lead to the kind of hearings and oversight and loss of jobs or law licenses if

the rules hold.
