today demanded the Islamic Republic surrender and again said he wants a hand in choosing the nation's

next leader. The Iranian Red Crescent says more than 1,300 people have now been killed

by the American and Israeli bombing. Local officials in Tehran also said another school was hit with an airstrike.

The bombing of a girls' school last Saturday killed more than 150 people, mostly children.
