Today, Glenn talks with former pardon attorney, Liz Oyer, about Trump's latest pardons. This is Justice

Matters. Hey, I'm John Fuglesang. Do you ever watch these Christian nationalists and

right-wing fundamentalists on TV and think, Jesus Christ, these people are the opposite of Jesus

Christ? You know, Christianity was supposed to be about love and service, Jesus Christ, these people are the opposite of Jesus Christ.

You know, Christianity was supposed to be about love and service,

but millions of Americans have grown up to find their nice religions been hijacked

by this mean authoritarian, tax-free click.

I wrote a book about how these right-wingers aren't actually on the side of Jesus,

and historically, they never have been. Separation of church and hate, a sane person's guide to taking back the Bible from fundamentalists, fascists, and flock-pleasing frauds. It's a very irreverent and biblically correct book for believers, atheists, agnostics, and anybody who's ever going to have to deal with a Christian extremist in your family, workplace, or government. On all the issues that divide us, using actual verses from that book they claim to follow,

they've got a First Amendment right to twist the Bible to their liking.

You've got a First Amendment right to call them out for it, and you'll be surprised at how good it feels.

So, friends, Donald Trump's pardons continue to endanger the American people. He pardons cryptocurrency crooks who endanger our national security.

He pardons felons who are in possession of firearms.

He pardons business executives who defraud nursing homes. And of course, after pardoning more than

1,500 of the boots of the insurrection, the angry mob that

he set on the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, he now has pardoned 77 of the suits of the

insurrection, including lawyers and other white-collar criminals who were part and parcel

of his corrupt scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

His pardons endanger us all.

I just sat down with the former pardon attorney for the United States, Liz Oyer, to talk about all of this and more.
