Welcome, everybody, to the Jim Acosta show.

0:01.7

Another bombshell has dropped in Epstein Gate.

0:04.8

Trump admitted earlier today on Air Force One that Epstein, quote, stole an employee from his spa at Mar-a-Lago years ago and added that he thinks it was a woman, a young woman, named and possibly, I guess a girl at that time, Virginia Jouffray, who was a victim of the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's underage girl sex racket.

Jufre committed suicide last April.

0:28.1

Trump had said earlier on this trip to Scotland that he had severed ties with Epstein because Epstein was stealing employees from his club.

0:35.0

That contradicts what the White House officials have been saying. Communications Director Steve Chung has repeatedly said that Trump kicked Epstein out of his club for being a creep many years ago. Trump has tried to make all of this go away, of course, but it's not happening in part because of the things that he's been saying. And joining me right now, as you can see, is investigative journalist, Vicki Ward. She's been on this case for what the last two decades, right? Vicki, we talked about this the other day.

1:12.5

Yeah, she was.

1:13.6

So, yeah, Jim, you're 100% right.

1:15.4

This is the first time he has directly addressed the issue that's actually really at the heart of the Epstein story, if you like, which is Virginia Roberts, Geoffrey.

1:28.8

I mean, Jeffrey Epstein probably wouldn't have been arrested and indicted in 2019,

1:34.3

were it not for Virginia Roberts?

1:36.8

I mean, of all the victims, she's the one whose public claims about Epstein and then about Gillesne Maxwell, really were the catalyst

1:49.2

for finally calling them both to justice, if you will. And so it's always, I have, you know,

1:56.6

been publicly wondering aloud, particularly in these last few weeks, why Donald Trump,

2:03.1

who has said that he sabotage with Jeffrey Epstein, has not come out publicly and talked about

2:11.2

it and why he's never talked publicly about Virginia Roberts, as she then was before she got

2:16.6

married, who was working at Mara Lago.

2:21.2

We know this from the documents in her civil litigation with Gillesne Maxwell, that she was

2:30.1

working as a young girl at the spa at Mara Lago.
