Hello, happy Tuesday, it's Brad, and welcome back to our final week of the year, in which

we're taking a deeper look at some of the stories that will continue to evolve in the new year.

And today, I want to talk about money.

We spent a lot of 2025 talking about how the thing President Trump ran on.

The economy is now also kind of the yoke around his administration's neck.

Prices have continued to rise for consumers, not as fast as a few years ago,

but enough that many Americans still feel hung out to dry.

We've talked about the K-shaped economy,

where those who have big stock market investments are feeling fine,

while those who just go to work,

take home their paycheck, and save what they can, are seeing their purchasing power decrease.

These South Carolina shoppers spoke with our affiliate WCIV.

It's at an all-time high that we've seen.

As a retired person living on a fixed income, I'm particularly sensitive to certain prices.

Fertilizer, fuel, equipment, everything in agricultural businesses has gone up.

This dynamic is clearly not lost on this White House. It's why a couple weeks ago, President

Trump came out and delivered a nationwide address. He defensively insisted that he had

turned this economy around and that American bank accounts

were about to get healthier.

Eleven months ago, I inherited a mess and I'm fixing it.

Well, if Americans are going to support Trump and his party in the midterms, the thinking goes,

he's got to deliver. So how do you do that?
