If you would open the scriptures today with me to Acts the first chapter, Acts chapter 1,

then we'll go to 2 Timothy chapter 1. Acts 1, 2 Timothy 1.

for the previous lessons, of course, we've already covered a lot of ground and you're getting

encourage them that it would be worth their time to get into this and feed on this. This is very, very important.

In Acts the first chapter and the eighth verse, Acts 1-8, he said, but you shall receive power.

After that the Holy Ghost, is an old English word for spirit, after the Holy Spirit

has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem and in all Judea

and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Two things I want to emphasize here.

He said, Jesus said, you'll receive power.

Hallelujah.

And it's the power of the Holy Spirit upon you.

And this power, the fruit and effect and result of this power of the Holy Spirit coming on you

is that you shall be witnesses.

Witnesses.

Now, the living Bible says, when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you'll receive power to testify about me with great

effect.

Power to testify about me.
