Turn with me this evening in the Word to mark the ninth chapter.

Let's release faith and believe together for utterance, for light, for answers.

What comes by hearing and hearing by the word?

Faith.

Is faith good? faith overcomes the world faith receives from god faith pleases god and what we're doing right now is how you get more

how your faith gets stronger and increases.

In Mark the 9th chapter, we began some weeks ago on this series. We're calling faith for miracles.

Faith for miracles.

And this is our main text.

Let's read it again and then pray and believe for light.

Mark 9 and 17, one of the multitude answered and said,

Master, I brought to you my son, which has a dumb spirit.

Wherever he takes him, he tears him, and he foams and gnashes with his teeth

and pines away, and I spoke to your disciples that they should cast him out,

and they could not.

Now, we see later that they asked him, why couldn't we cast it out. And Matthew, he said

because of your unbelief. And then also he told him that the praying and fasting was a way to

deal with some of those things. We see if you were with us earlier in the series that they were

dealing with some pride and presumption. And one of the best cures for pride is praying and

fasting. Humble yourself. The Bible Psalms talks about

humbling yourself, your soul

with fasting.
