Solomon closes the book of Ecclesiastes with these words. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.

Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Each of us have been given only one life. What will we do

with it? Life. It's not a game. And in this journey through the book of Ecclesiastes,

But that being said, there's so much emphasis today on health and wellness and the strength of the human body, the idea that we can

that God's people remember that the emphasis of Scripture is not on the body, it's on the soul.

And that is why, as we're studying through Ecclesiastes chapter number seven,

we keep getting these little glimmers of life in the natural versus life in the spiritual.

In a previous study, we looked at verse 16 and verse 17,

where we're cautioned about being righteous over much,

or making ourselves over wise, or trying to be over much wicked.

Those are interesting expressions, over much, over wise.

That really describes the world we live in today.

People are too busy, too committed, too distracted,

and the end of that, of course,

is that people break down early. He asked the question, why shouldst thou die before that time?

I think all of us have put too much stock in our own strength. And so today we turn our attention to Ecclesiastes chapter 7, verses 19 and 20, that really gives us a glimpse of what true strength is.
