| 1:19.6 | But on April 30th of 2023, 19-year-old Cameron Everest Brandt attacked a house party, |
| 1:24.7 | shooting two teenagers and wounding four others on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. |
| 1:30.5 | Brand was quickly arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault. |
| 1:38.2 | So since this was just a few years ago, I actually did some digging on this story. |
| 1:54.9 | And just a month and a half ago, Brand actually entered in an open plea of guilty to two counts of first degree murder and four counts of aggravated assault. |
| 2:16.7 | So like I said, the shooting occurred on April 30th of 2023, and it claimed the lives of an 18-year-old, De Arias, or Dede Smith, and 16-year-old Haley Stamper, and both were students of Hancock High School. |
| 2:18.8 | And this was in Mississippi. |
| 2:26.6 | Like I said, it was the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but the sentencing is scheduled for June 2nd of this year, |
| 2:35.1 | and he faces the possibility of two life sentences plus up to 80 years for the aggravated assault charges. |
| 2:45.9 | Brand did admit in court to shooting 17 times at the party, stating his mind was clouded by alcohol and marijuana at the time. He noted a prior social media dispute with one of the victims. |
| 2:54.5 | And in February of this year, a judge granted a change of venue for the trial due to the |

| 3:07.1 | And Brand has actually been held in Hancock County Jail since his arrest in April of |
