Oh, this book of Ecclesiastes is a fascinating book because at every turn of the page,

I see another part of my life. This really is a book about life. And as you live your life, there are going to be some things that are true

and some things, frankly, that you believe, but they're false.

Life is all about discerning what is right and what is not.

What is of God and what is not.

And as you study the book of Ecclesiastes, again and again, you see this mixture in Solomon's

thinking of truth with error because he's a man who has God's wisdom, heaven's wisdom,

and yet he's gotten his eyes off the Lord, he's got his eyes on this world.

And I will tell you something when you start living that way, it is a confusing way to

live. Let's look at some of the true and false today. We're in Ecclesiastes chapter number nine,

and if you'll permit me just to read the opening 12 verses, you'll see what I'm talking about.

He writes, for all this, I considered in my heart, even to declare all this that the righteous and the

wise and their works are in the hand of God. No man knoweth either love or hatred by all that

is before them. Now let's pause and say, true.
