John, just to sort of start with America, we're seeing an extraordinary divided country.

What's the challenge for Joe Biden?

To actually try and bring people together. I think it's the sort of politician that could do that.

There's a responsibility on all of us now in terms of Democrats everywhere, standing up for democracy.

Look, in this country, we have a long tradition of protest, but protests about individual

policies. When it's a riot, effectively, to overturn the election, that's not a protest, that's a

coup. And when it's inspired by the very person who lost that election,

that has to be condemned.

I think tonight people need to go a bit further than just condemning what's happened.

It's also condemning those that have incited this.
