How are you all doing? I hope that you're all keeping safe and finding pockets of levity and sanity amid these extraordinary and really thoroughly depressing times or troubling times.

I am. Our three-year-old just took shipment of an electric car, courtesy of his grandmother.

Unsolicited, but, you know, no-shade grandma. So trying to teach him how to do a three-point turn in that thing has taken up an

astounding amount of my free time.

But, you know, the thing only goes one mile an hour.

It's no, there's no danger there.

But when I'm not doing that, I'm writing and podcasting my life away.

And so here we are.

And this is one that I've been thinking about for a while. So just to give you a bit of background here, as a journalist, there are a few things I hate more than transcribing. So you do an interview, get all this juicy stuff, you get back to the office, and then the dread sets in immediately as soon as you start, you hit play on the recorder.

Transcribing sucks.

And I'm also a bad typist, so it makes it worse.

Anyway, it's a time suck, it's a soul suck.

And so when I came across this little London company called Trent a few years ago, I was over the moon.

So they charged like 40 bucks.
