We've got to be aware of our triggers.

But the thing is, that worksheet has to do with general everyday life.

The holidays are different.

And the reason the holidays are different is something Jen, you brought up early and Kate you brought up as well. You've had so

many past experiences of the holidays, right? Probably a few dozen at least. And if you've had a few dozen

of these experiences, there are memories and there are things that have happened at once,

potentially if they're really, really powerful and strong, or that happen all the time. What's an example? Your aunt

always asking the question, if so, who are you with now? And have you settled with anybody? Which every

single year upsets you and gets you sad and gets you into a really uncomfortable conversation with that aunt.

And she asked the question every year, not realizing, not recognizing that for you, it's a trigger.

Again, we can decide to block it out and pretend like it's not going to happen.
