Often the best founders have relatively little experience in their domain, they're disrupting.

And I think that's been true for the last 10 to 20 years.

But if we look forward, I think it's going to be the opposite now. It's going to be like you don't need to be the technologist. Like you need to be the domain expert and you have the unique insight of the vertical that you want to attack.

And I think it's the barriers now to then spinning something up are only decreasing.

The founders and teams that yes, they've got a product that the market loves and the customers

love and they've got all of that stuff, but actually they're very good at managing the transition

from individual implementation that founders are good at to one of team problem identification,

team prioritisation, team problem solving.

Because if you can get your organisation humming, you'll be able to solve more problems faster

than your competition, and that's the companies that win.

These aren't people in our industry, but their perspective was, look, crowdfunding was this highly promised solution to funding for

tech startups and making democratizing access to this asset class.

And their view was it hadn't lived up to the hype.

And then some of the discussion was around, well, when I go on and look at these platforms

and look at the companies on there, it's hard to get interested as an investor.
