hosts one of the most iconic late night shows of all time and currently is the

youngest person and only person of color hosting a late night show, the daily shows Trevor Noah.

Noah who is biracial was born in the South African Township of Soetoeto in 1984

during the era of apartheid, a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination that lasted in that country until 1991

Which did not make for an easy childhood

But the end of apartheid resulted in a new South Africa,

in which, among many other things, comedy began to bloom, and in which his discovery of it and

his facility for it quickly resulted in him becoming a

superstar with stand-up gigs selling out stadiums and a TV show soon coming his
