History books really filled with evidence of how fear paralyzes and defeats even the strongest.

And yet, by the same token, how evidence abound of how faith and courage gives victory even to the weakest.

I think many of us can testify to this truth.

But one of the great historic evidence of fear versus faith is recorded in a naval battle

between Spain and England.

And it took place in July of 1588. The Spanish forces

were mighty and powerful, far more than England ever was, particularly naval operation.

The Spanish Armada was larger than the British one by far. The Spanish had big ships and mighty cannons.

While the British Navy at that time hadn't arisen yet and it was very small and no much for the Spaniards.

Things really looked bleak for the Brits at that time.

Sir Francis Drake, with courage and faith, decided to engage the Spaniards and their Navy in the British Channel.

And the way he did it is that he got eight empty ships and he set them on fire and he sent him over to the Spanish Armada.

The Spanish Navy became fearful and they began to retreat.

And in their fearful retreat, an ill wind came that caught the entire armada and blew it into the

North Sea, where all literally the navy power of the great mighty Spanish Empire was beached

on the Flemish coast of Belgium.

Because it was a moment of fear that caused the collapse of the mighty Spanish Empire.
