Tonight I'll be reading Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Part 5, chapters 22 to 24.

In the last chapters, Jim resumes his narration, describing his approach to the stockade, accompanied

by Ben Gunn, and reassured by the sight of the Union Jack that Smollett's crew controlled the fort.

Jim later seized the Jolly Roger over the ship, showing that the pirates had taken control.

The next morning, Long John Silver approaches under a flag of truce, claiming he wants to negotiate. He demands the treasure map in exchange

for safety, but Smollett refuses, predicting an imminent attack.

The pirates soon assault the stockade, resulting in a battle where Smollett's group emerged relatively unscathed, but sustained casualties nonetheless.
