Tonight I'll be reading Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, part 2, chapters 10 to 12.

In the last chapters, young Jim Hawkins had travelled to Bristol to get ready to board the

Hispaniola, the ship that Squire Trelawney had been preparing for their sea voyage. A letter from a

lorney had been preparing for their sea voyage. A letter from Trelawny had made it clear that he had been

too talkative about their plans, and so suspicions were high.

When Jim arrived, he met the ship's cook, Long John Silver, and although initially suspicious

of him, after having encountered the criminal pirate Black Dog, Long John

proved himself a likable fellow. Jim also met the ship's captain, Captain Smollett, whom he took quite a disliking to.

The story last ended as they were readying to set sail.
