Tonight I'll be reading Treasure Island

by Robert Louis Stevenson, Part 2, Chapter 7 to 9.

In the last chapters, young Jim Hawkins and his mother were awaiting the arrival of the blind

beggar and his gang of pirates coming to collect the belongings of a deceased in guest.

After taking some money and a mysterious package for themselves, Jim and his mother tried to run away.

However, Jim's fainting mother meant they could only hide nearby.

Just before they were caught, they were saved by the law, and Jim was taken with his mysterious

package to their good friend Dr. Livesay and his squire, Mr Trelawney. Together they discovered the package contained a

treasure map and promptly made a plan to man a secret expedition to find these hidden riches.
