Abby is a licensed mental health therapist and a member of the

Allender Center teaching staff, and she talks with Dan about her article, Post-traumatic Single

Disorder, which is part of what prompted this series on the spectrum of trauma.

Well, my privilege is the opportunity to be with a dear friend and also the writer of very

And I want to jump in and say, look, your article on post-traumatic single disorder caused a lot of response. I don't know if we've had a

blog that has had more responses and, shall we say, more strong. I don't think I read anything

that was sort of tepid, neutral.

Oh, that was good.

Good writing.

I mean, there were people who were deeply connected to, oh, my gosh, this is describing

so much of my life.

And then there were a whole host of people, some of which I read the last time that

we were, I was on this blog or whatever this is, podcast.

And I read some of the most critical, but also not the most cruel.

There were some absolutely wickedly cruel remarks that we took down from Facebook

or wherever they were posted, just because somehow
