Today we're talking about the concept of transparency and the importance of transparency in relationships, in business, pretty much in every aspect of your life.

And one of the reasons why this came up for us is I just I just got

off of a weekend-long program that I taught for an Australian audience which

means that I started the program at about 9 p.m. at night and didn't finish

until about 1 o'clock in the morning every night. So I am admittedly a little

fried, but it also means that I've been doing a lot of research in different wealth creators, people who

generated lots of money for themselves.

And one of the people that I focused on was Jack Welch, who is the CEO of General Electric.

And Jack Wilts took General Electric from about a billion dollars a year

to about 60 billion dollars a year in the two decades that he was their CEO.

Which is pretty impressive. impressive I mean General Electric was

already a utility company so it was doing okay but he took it and I mean you know

60 billion is you know that's a pretty sizable chunk of change absolutely and what he said is when he

got there to General Electric one of the things that he noticed that was being

grossly mismanaged was that all the C-level execs and all the managers were being really nice to each other.

You know, they were like smiling at each other and going, hey, and glad handing and shaking each other's hands and that sort of thing, patting each

other on the back and then totally turning around and stabbing the other person now.

Like patting them on the back and then stabbing in the back.

And he said it was destroying the company.
