Summary

On the Wednesday podcast, I get to talk with members of the Organize 365® community as they share the challenges, progress, missteps, and triumphs along their organizing journey. You can see and hear transformation in action. I look forward to helping YOU learn the skill of organization, too!

This week, I am sharing my interview with Ashley C. She lives with husband, three children and some fun pets! She shares her struggle with living up to the Pinterest perfect bar she set for herself when she had her first baby.

Ashley has been a dedicated podcast listener for years.  The Organize 365® podcast gave her the permission to forgo the Pinterest perfect nursery rooms and scrapbooks and get things done a little less than perfect.

We discuss how we have all these long to-do lists and so much pressure on ourselves but the funny thing is, no one is checking that list.  No one is disappointed that we didn't accomplish something or accomplish it in the way we planned.

Ashley is somewhat of a reformed perfectionist now.  In her business, she uses the phrase "experiments in imperfection."  She joined The Productive Home Solution™ and got her new home organized. Only recently did she purchase the Sunday Basket®.  Why now?  Lisa helped her to unveil feelings of fear of failure. Ashley knew about all the resources Organize 365® has to offer but she subconsciously felt that maybe she wouldn't do them justice.

I encourage everyone to not sit on the sidelines due to fear of failure. Is it time for you to get off the sidelines and make the commitment with the Sunday Basket® system I am happy to say Ashley is organized and on her way to the next chapter of life. Her transformation story is ongoing as she is now working her way into business and just got started with the Friday Workbox®

with you, so let's get started. Ashley, welcome to the organized 365 podcast. Thank you so

much, Lisa. I am thrilled to be here. This is going to be such a great conversation, but before

0:43.4

we get started, I have to know how did you find organized 365? Well, in 2015, it's actually

0:51.5

March of 2015, my husband and I and our toddler were moving into our current home, and I was

1:00.2

in the process of unpacking everything, and I've always loved organizing. I've loved learning about

1:06.2

it, and so I searched for an organizing podcast, found you, and that was like the background, I guess,

1:15.4

to my entire unboxing my house, getting things put away, organizing my closets,

1:21.3

kind of trying to micro-organize what I had under my kitchen cabinets and everything, so that was

1:27.2

that, and then I was, wow, I was like, I'm not going to let go of listening, I'm going to just binge

1:32.7

everything I can, you know, go back into the archives, get caught up, because I was taking it from

1:39.2

making a house to a home in one month, we were hosting my son's second birthday party for

1:45.2

all 50 of our closest friends and family, and I was going to be announcing that I was pregnant,

1:51.0

very soon, oh my gosh, I mean, the podcast was only year-old at that point,

1:59.2

like if that, yeah, I know, I looked back because I was like, how many day I've been, you know,

2:04.1

to try to catch up, so, but yeah, I felt like I was then in on the ground level, so I think

2:09.0

is about 2016 when you started doing the 100-day program, and so I was like, I get to do this

2:16.2

100-day organization, but kind of follow along, and I definitely was trying to like, bootstrap it,

2:22.5

so I know we'll get into that, but it was like, maybe I can make my own version of what she's doing,

2:27.3

and I learned that it was just so much better for me to have the products and have the support.
