I wrote this instrumental two days after news of Ahmadmaud Aubrey's murder in May 2020.

Three weeks later, the George Floyd uprisings began in Los Angeles and alongside my partner,

I spent June 2020 photographing dozens of protests. We compiled so much footage, we decided to make a

short film to serve as a time capsule for future generations.

I enlisted the vocal talents of Chief Wakil and Kelly Wakili to write lyrics about black

exhaustion. There isn't a specific reason that I create. It's one of the few activities that make
