What I'm talking about is leveraging your mind, leveraging my mind, full access to my brain

for the great gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, because I'm going to tell you we're going to drop off

these bodies in no time. Our lives are a vapor. They're going to go by in a flash in time.

And when we get to the other side of this life,

all that will matter is what we did to the glory of God

for the sake of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We've got a couple of different places we're going early on in our lesson, but I wanted to start in Acts chapter four.

Go with me to the book of Acts chapter four.

Now you know, of course, a little bit about the history if you have spent much time in

the New Testament of the Apostle Peter, how zealous he was for the things of God, how big his heart was for the gospel.

But we also know that he's the very one that denied Christ three times.

And let me tell you something, if you've got a background of sin like I have, and we've all got a background of sin in one way or another.

But when we think about all the ways that we sin against God, and then we consider what it

would be like to essentially say, I don't even know him.

I want you to understand, when we see this particular transgression in the Apostle, Peter,

I don't know that it gets more serious than that.

I mean, by the time you're going on, I don't know who you're talking about, I don't even

know that man.

That is one serious infraction.
