What does it mean to love God with our whole mind?

We're so accustomed to saying, I want to love you with my whole heart.

I love Jesus with my whole heart.

It's so heart-oriented.

That's a gorgeous thing, gorgeous priority.

But I want to ask you, what does it look like to love God, not just with this little segment over here, but with our whole mind? Now here's what I want to say to you.

The mind and the brain are not synonymous, but they are obviously interconnected.

The brain can be measured and weighed, but the mind cannot.

You can't capture your mind in this piece of flesh right here. You cannot do it.

So it can be measured, but your mind cannot be measured.

Your brain fits in your skull, but your mind most definitely does not fit in your skull.

Your brain is the compact soil from which your mind grows.

The brain gives us somewhere concrete, or let me say tangible, compact to begin talking about the wonders

of the mind.

Because here's my hope.

My hope is that in increasing our appreciation of the brain,

if we know the mind is greater than the brain,

and the brain is a wonder beyond comprehension, then man must the mind be something. And man, do we want to give

every single inch of it to Jesus fearfully and wonderfully made.

Now the skull is a marvel of its own because the skull protects the brain from injury.

Up here, I don't know if you can see it very clearly, but you see this little fusion,

this little fusing together.
