Hello, welcome to another episode of Papa Bear Heights.

Well, many of you, if you've been listening to the channel, I just, no, I just did,

recently did an episode, what am I doing in 2022?

I was asked a question actually and my

list is always fluctuating. I'm always looking for something new to do. Well a few

weeks ago I typed in Finger Lakes Trail and came across a couple of gentlemen who were creating some content that I think could be very helpful to the hiking and backpack and community.

I'd like to welcome the creators of Out on trails the YouTube creators Mike and Tom. Mike and Tom

welcome to Papa Bear hikes. Thanks for having that. Let's start out by you guys

telling us a little bit about yourselves and since there's two of you,

I'll decide who goes first. Mike, you've already got the privilege of having your name first, so we'll start with Tom.

A little bit about myself. I am a, I don't know, wayward child here. I'm just a giant, giant kid. I'm just a giant kid. I like to backpack, I like to hike, I like to kayak, I like to kayak canoe, all that fun stuff. In real life, I have a couple

different jobs. I am a rowing coach and a sales associate at a retailer that we're all familiar with but I'm not going to name

And I just like to try to pretty much get outside as much as I can

Just hang out with my dog Jack who if you do watch any of the videos you might come across.

I've actually got him right here with me, tip tapping around so if you hear any, you know,

scattle around the floor, that's him.

So I am a child of the Midwest.

I know you guys share some common geography between you but yeah I grew up in the Midwest

a little north of Milwaukee close to the city but far enough outside the city that I still had like farm fields across the street for me growing up.
