This is Carla Marie's breast explant journey.

Hello, and welcome to my breast explant journey.

My name is Carla Marie, and after 10 and a half years, I have decided to take out my breast implants.

I do have a few reasons, and I will get into that in this series.

But up front, I will tell you that I do

believe I have something called breast implant illness. And that is one of my reasons for removing

them. This podcast will be a mini series. So I will have episodes pre-op as well as episodes post-op

so you can see what the recovery process is like.

On the first episode, it's just me telling my story, but after that I will have different

guests on. I will have my doctor. I will have advocates for breast implant illness.

I'll have other women who have undergone the same surgery for different reasons.

And this is going to be, yes, a sensitive subject, but we are going to do our best to have

fun with it and educate. This is by no means a medical advice podcast. I will never give you

medical advice. So don't take medical advice for me. I have zero credibility.
