Well, I start with a question, a wish, a feeling of agitation.

I have a friend, Major Jackson Jackson who's a poet and I think it was his yeah you know major I think his teacher Garrett Honggo used to tell him a

Lyrrhic poem begins in a moment of disequilibrium.

You know, something is off.

And we enter into the world of the poem,

maybe not always aware of what is off,

but we are with the speaker as they move to understand and potentially even right that imbalance, correct it.

And so for me, that disequilibrium is often often my conscience is not comfortable with what I see in the world.

I'm not satisfied with this explanation that I have given to myself or received or I'm just really curious about something.

And so I move through my question into images that I can see or you know perceived by other means.

I listen to language and I'm thinking about the sounds of words and what kinds of

impulses they set up.

And so I'm moving back and forth

between logic, meaning, statement,

and all these other things that are bigger than logic,

like I was saying, outside of logic,
