Irish Illustrated back for another edition of Tracking the Trail, our recruiting podcast.

0:10.9

I'm Kevin Sinclair, joined by Eric Thomas.

0:13.3

It's going to be a pretty loaded podcast today, just in terms of the material we're going to get through for obvious reasons.

0:19.8

There was an official visit weekend that just passed. And last week, the day that we had our last podcast, Notre Dame

0:28.5

kicked off a sort of midweek official visits with three prospects. We'll probably start there

0:36.2

with those recruits. We'll go ahead and start with Jadon Blair,

0:41.1

who just after the visit ended on Thursday, he pretty much had to go directly to Ann Arbor for his

1:24.3

versatility and range in the defensive secondary. For Notre Dame to

1:28.2

continue to have championship aspirations, guys like Blair are exactly what you're looking for.

1:32.8

Big bodied hitters. They can tackle. They can play multiple roles. And they allow you to be

1:36.7

versatile with the alignment of your secondary players. And that's the evolution of the Al Golden

1:42.0

defense that Marcus Freeman has talked about openly here this offseason.

1:45.4

So he's sort of an ideal fit for the evolving nature of this defense.

1:50.9

I think that importance is only underscored more with obviously some of the Ivan Taylor news and things.

1:56.8

And we'll get into that.
