the kind of the latest recruiting happenings, or at least the latest topics a lot of Notre Dame

fans seem to be interested in and discussing often.

I'm joined, as always, by Eric Thomas. We were just talking

just before recording the podcast today. Should we start with a positive or get right into the

negative? Get that out of the way? I think we'll get into the negative right away. Wide receiver

recruiting. Everyone seems to be concerned about that. And, you know, that's understandable.

This isn't 2016 where ball recruiting is much of a thing.

You know, that's where, you know, a lot of teams might add a guy or two to their class.

This year, Notre Dame is going to have to go deep into the cycle to fill out that class.

To New Kinds, Dylan Robinson and Derek Meadows, three recruits ranked four or five stars who,

you know, we felt Notre Dame was either in pole position to land or definitely had a really

good shot to land ahead of official visits in the midst

of official visits and all three turned out to be losses recruiting losses for Notre Dame.

Eric, you put together some really good analysis today on wide receiver recruiting, where

they go from here, the pickle they're in.

What say you?

Yeah, it was a terrible, no good, very bad week for Notre Dame last week on the wide receiver recruiting trail. It's always a little bit interesting when stuff like this happens

that all three of the announcements just sort of ended up being in the same week, which obviously made the impact feel so much worse.

It's a little bit interesting when it stacks like that.

But the long and short of it is, Notre Dame has to pivot and figure things out.
