We are 14 weeks away from the world championships taking place in Eugene, Oregon, which is kind

of crazy to realize when I put it that way that we're, that's going to come up quick.

That's a marathon training cycle. So for this episode, I'm joined by David Mellie because

we're going to geek out on one of our favorite athletes right now. The goal of the show is

that every week we're going to be picking an athlete that's competing at the World Outdoor

Championships and helping tell their story without exactly having them on as a guest

on the podcast. It's just sort of who we're excited about right now. And I'm going to

be doing the show weekly on Fridays with a different member of the Sidious Meg staff.

And so it's just another opportunity for us to geek out and tell some awesome stories.

So as I said, the show is presented by Hayward Magic because everyone knows how much all

of us in the Sidious Meg family love track and field. And just how much we enjoy sharing

that love with all of you. Well, we've got a few big love sharing ideas and the works

for the upcoming season and none bigger than what we've got planned for Eugene. Our summer

of Hayward begins with the Nike pre fontane classic on Memorial Day weekend where team

USA's men and women will be chosen for the 10,000 meters. And then at the USATF outdoor championships

in late June, it'll determine the rest of team USA. And then we've got World Athletics

Championships, Oregon 22 in mid July, where team USA will be the home team. So we'll be

there for every competitive moment at Hayward Field. And we hope to create some moments

of our own pre and post meet with interviews, analysis and behind-the-scenes stories with

some track and field's most interesting athletes. So personally, I'm excited about

Yulumar Rojas. And that's why I brought on David Melon because he's the number one fan
