We've got over 50 episodes at this point. And I know some of you haven't listened to some of the older episodes, and I bet you'd like them, and they also

provide a good amount of context for episodes like this. So if you haven't had a chance to make

your way through some of the back episodes, I highly recommend it. So in the last episode, you heard

me making a link between some words, trance, transformation, trauma,

traverse. All of them share a simple linguistic root, trah, from the old proto-Indo-European

to cross to traverse, and also to turn or twist. And this root this root trah finds its way into a lot of words

and these words interweave like crossing threads threads which comes from that same root tra thread

sutras as they're called in sanskrit where we get the word suture, threads that weave together

and give insight into how human minds and bodies work, into what fundamentally drives us to want to cross,

to travel, to travel across spaces, mental and material, across thresholds.

Because we want to travel.

We want to travel, transform, transport,

trek, trapes, tramp, and truck our way across mental and material space.

And this sound, TRA, at least in Indo-European cultures, has been connected to this endeavor from the start.

Trauma is the root sound of pilgrims and boundary crossers.

Travelers in transit cross borders when they travel.
