Summary

Giray Dadali spent his whole life in the shadow if his older brother, pro skier Ahmet Dadali.  While working to create a name for himself in the ski world, Giray realized he already had a name that everyone knew, Ahmet's Brother.  Fast forward to today and Giray has had 3 signature Ahmet's Brother Pro Model Skis and has finally stepped out from his brother's shadow, kind of.  On top of all that, Giray is a schooled engineer who created and is currently selling the often sold out Daymaker Touring System.  His story is awesome and his experience, totally different than his brothers.

Welcome to the Powell Movement.

I'm your host, Mike Powell,

0:16.7

and this week on the show,

0:18.4

we have a guy who has spent his whole life

0:20.6

living in the shadows of his older brother.

0:23.1

I'm talking about Garai Didali, and we had his brother on the show a few weeks ago, Amet Didali.

0:28.9

And while Garai has been working to create a name for himself in the ski world,

0:32.6

he eventually realized there was no way around being known as Amet's little brother, and he decided to own it.

0:39.3

And while he is now known as Amet's brother in the world of ski marketing, today Garai is breaking a new trail in the ski world that doesn't involve bootpacking with his company Daymaker touring.

0:52.4

And while everyone thinks of him as Amet's brother, he's really an

0:55.8

engineer armed with a degree and a passion for sliding on snow. The other half of the Dadali

1:01.3

puzzle is just as interesting as the older version in a different way. Before we get into the

1:06.7

podcast, I want to let you know that summer is not over. I'll have one or two more summer episodes

1:12.3

that will come out once they are recorded. The research is done, the guests have committed,

1:17.1

and now we're just waiting on them. If the last interviews of summer don't happen, not a big deal.

1:22.6

The show will go on and it will teach me a lesson that I'm glad I've never had to learn before.

1:27.2

And that lesson is

1:28.5

sometimes yes really means no, no matter how many times a person says yes. Everyone should

1:34.8

understand that lesson. Enough of my rant. Now I want to ask you to follow me on Instagram at the
