Summary

Charlie Hoch is a former pro snowboarder turned cannabis entrepreneur, which makes him the perfect guest for 420 week. When I say pro snowboarder, while Charlie competed amongst the likes of Travis Rice and was on the podium at some big events, his snowboard career won’t be what defines his existence; his success in the cannabis world will be. From developing the original ice bong to building his 100+ SKU empire today, Charlie could use snowboarding instead of having it the other way around, and on the podcast, we talk snowboarding, weed, and more.

It's time to talk some shit on the Powell movement.

Welcome to the Powell movement.

I'm your host Mike Powell, and spring break is over, and it's on to a new chapter in my life.

This one is called asking for help and it's so strange.

0:25.6

This whole intro is going to be about the GoFundMe that we created.

0:28.6

And we created the GoFundMe because so many of you have asked how you could help us in this difficult time

0:34.6

and you've been asking for two and a half years and we've always

0:37.7

been like, no, we've got this, no, we've got this. And that's been our mindset for a long, long time.

0:43.1

We've said pretty much no to everything but some meals over the years of chemo, radiation,

0:47.6

surgeries, pain and sadness. But now, when people ask how can we help, we have an answer.

0:53.2

We have a GoFundMe and it is so weird starting

0:55.8

one because it feels like begging for money. I mean, Sherry McConkey and Angie's best friend

1:00.7

Caitlin Wade have been encouraging us to do one of these things for a while. And they said they

1:05.3

would start it whenever we wanted to do it. And we've had that in the back of our minds for

1:09.3

about a year. And after our last

1:11.3

18-day stint in the hospital, Anne and I both were like, yeah, we should do this. And

1:16.4

Caitlin and Cherry ran with it and we are live. And a day into the GoFundMe, we're doing really

1:21.7

well. But it does feel awkward taking money from friends, relatives, and strangers. I almost feel guilty or tacky for doing it

1:29.2

because I want to think that there are people who have it worse than Ange in my family, but then I think

1:34.2

about it and no one has it worse than Ange. I live with it and I'm going to spare you the details.

1:39.5

But we sure are feeling the love and we appreciate every donation and share. So thank you very much.
