Summary

Louie Vito has done it all: Champion snowboarder, reality TV star on 'Dancing with the Stars', playing himself in the sequel to 'Point Break', and there is so much more to him. On part 2 with Louie, we dive into sponsors, contests, Danny Kass and the Grenade Crew, the fact that no brand ever put big marketing dollars behind him, and so much more. Louie is not the guy I thought he was going to be, he's the hardest man working on the game. And a badass in his own right, Toby Miller, asks the Inappropriate Questions.

Welcome to the Powell Movement.

I'm your host Mike Powell,

0:18.1

and this podcast drops right around the Fourth of July holiday. And I'm from the Washington, D.C. area. The 4th July seemed like the most important holiday of the year. All my friends and I would head down to the national mall with kegs on cold plates and would get shit-faced in honor of the greatest country in the free world, America. But that was then, when we were truly great.

0:39.1

That shit is long gone.

0:40.9

Sure, we're no third world country, but we are far from great.

0:44.5

I mean, shit, we are far from average.

0:47.0

Back when I used to really celebrate America, it was a different time.

0:50.5

It was before the country was overrun with school and mass shootings.

0:54.7

It was before politics separated the country like we've never seen before.

0:58.3

It was before all the racists who I thought were not as prevalent, started showing their faces everywhere.

1:03.7

It was before one political party that were such sore losers stormed the nation's capital.

1:08.7

I mean, what the fuck is actually going on?

1:12.0

And I get it. Our leadership sucks, and it has for like six years. Trump was a fucking power hungry fool. Biden is so old,

1:18.3

he's not much better at all. I mean, the past two elected officials sum up America perfectly.

1:23.7

A couple of losers who aren't doing shit. But what sucks the most is what we're doing now,

1:28.3

stripping women of their rights.

1:30.1

To say that a woman can't be in control of her body

1:32.3

when she is pregnant is bat-shit crazy.

1:34.8

And I get that this is largely a religious thing,

1:37.6

which is so stupid.
