Summary

Griffin Post was born into the ski industry. His dad was an executive with some big brands, ultimately running Smith, and wanting a young Griff to be anything but, a pro skier. That said, there was no special treatment for Griffin and he almost didn’t make it. A chance trip and win at the US Extremes took Griffin away from utilizing his MBA and working his way into the world of TGR. Hear Griffin’s unique path to pro skiing on the podcast.

0:26.6	10 days later as I just landed in Seattle a few hours ago after an amazing family vacation
0:31.8	to Rahobith Beach. And now it's time to get the podcast out. Before we get into it, I need to fill you in on what you missed at this rainbow paradise of a beach.
0:41.2	And the highlight for me was that it was one of those trips for my son where I saw a boy become a man.
0:47.1	On his first $2 boardwalk game, he won himself a Bob Ross stuffy.
0:51.9	This was the coolest stuffed animal on the boardwalk, and by winning
0:55.4	at first try, it means that he saved me in a ridiculous amount of money as I was prepared to spend
1:00.3	whatever it took to win a Bob Ross. So that extra money that we had, well, that all went to
1:05.6	ski ball. And my high score for the week was an impressive 400 on nine ballball ski ball. That's a shit ton of tickets,
1:12.7	but I wasn't the only one to get that score. My kid matched it. He also got 350 on another
1:18.5	round, so he was better than me at ski ball. So that's my kid becoming a man, but in my world,
1:24.3	I set the Papa Shot record on pretty much every machine I played. I'm pretty good at that
1:28.9	game too. And while I wish I was amazing at something that translated to the real world, I'm not.
1:34.2	My hidden talents are boardwalk games and talking. So while the gaming results were the same as every
1:39.6	year, pretty awesome, we knew that this year was going to be a little different for my family.
1:44.2	Both my grandparents, the loved ones who started this trip many moons ago, well, they're gone,
1:49.6	and that's going to make this one strange. Minus how much we all love and miss them, there were
