Welcome to the Powell Movement. I'm your host, Mike Powell, and this week, my guest is a guy who I podcasted with on another show years ago when I had no idea what I was doing.

And back then, Carl Fosfet had a lot of people talking about him, but no real vehicle to get his name known to the masses.

Fast forward a few years, and a lot has changed for the better in Carl's world.

Carl's done a ton of cool shit in his career, and this podcast will take you back to

2016 and a re-edited version of the podcast I originally did with Carl to give you his backstory,

and then an hour of new material with him. Before we get into it, I'm going to talk about a

crazy night that I had about a week ago. So my kid has a friend over at the house and his dad will call his dad Alonzo.

And Alonzo comes to the house to pick up his son and he asks me what I'm doing on Saturday

night.

I tell him that I have no plans and he's like, perfect.

I have four tickets to see Static X at Corazon and you're coming.

Well, I've never seen Static X. Once I had a beer with

the late Wayne Static and his crew in Cleveland at the Gravity Games, but that was a long time ago

and I didn't even see them play that night. I don't know any Static X music, but my friend tells me

it's going to be an amazing show. Wayne's not here anymore, but they have the lead singer of

Dope standing in

for Wayne, and they're going to do the 20th anniversary of their Wisconsin Death Trip album in its

entirety at the show. And I can say this is the most hardcore crowd I've been around. Lots of masks,

lots of masks on the opening bands, and there were a lot of scary looking dudes there. When the show started, my crew got separated. I spent my time just outside of the mosh pit,

and I was thrown into it for the last couple of songs. I forgot how absolutely disgusting a

mosh pit can smell, and the Static X pit was one of the grossest I've ever been in.
