As a little girl, I looked up to my dad so much.

I was the youngest of four, but I can remember being scared of the dark and I ran into my

parents' bedroom and I would snuggle in between my mom and dad.

And I remember my dad would put his arm around me and I would feel so protected.

And then my little head would move into his rib and I could feel and hear his heartbeat.

And I felt so cared for and protected.

I loved my mom.

I had a great relationship with my mom, but there is something about my dad that made

me feel safe and I always wanted his attention.

I wanted to be seen by him because he was so important to me.
