My toxic fiance is constantly putting me down for losing my job, making fun of the fact that I'm unemployed, while also making sure I understand that I'm useless.

But now, even after waiting several months to finally get a new job, I still feel incredibly awful, because right now I really don't know what to do.

Here's what happened. Okay, to start things out, I was in a decent job. It paid me decently well, and I loved what I did. I could sustain myself without depending on anyone. For a bit of background, I come from a broken home. There's a lot of alcohol and mistreatment. There was name calling. days surviving on one meal a day. Sometimes if my friends would share their meal, I would eat with them,

but otherwise I just went for a walk. In fact, I used to walk every day up and down to college

just to save money on the bus fare. Somehow I got through graduation, and with some hard work and luck,

I got into Tata Institute

of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India.

And I completed all of my studies on scholarships.

So coming back to my family, I wanted to move out and as soon as I got a decent job,

I moved to Bangalore.

I simply couldn't bear the home environment anymore.

And while I was in Bangalore, I regained my health and my career.

Finally, I could focus and excel at my job without much distraction. All this while, I never got

into any relationships. I wanted to focus on my career and seek out God. And then, one fine day,

I got a text from a girl on Instagram. And at the time, I just ignored it. I never really believed in

online love, but she was insistent, so I gave in. We then started talking, and soon enough, we were in love. Moreover, by then, I was 33 years old, and since I didn't come from a good family, no family ever wanted to marry their daughter to me, so under pressure, I thought, why not just give it a try? We were in a long-term
