Welcome on to Dunned on Prime here from Fabulous Las Vegas. The game isn't even over yet and I already have walked back to my hotel room and we are recording with Laker's Pells. Not exactly close. We'll get to the better of the

games later just because we finished witnessing this Pells Lakers game right now and it's fresh in mind.

Let's do that first.

This is something that we thought might be the case with some of the league's older players,

particularly LeBron James, and he was really fired up about the in-season

tournament seemed like from the beginning, and he really, I think, wants to win the first one,

and he is going to have his chance on Saturday night.

There was a stretch in the late first quarter where it looked like, okay, the pelicans, things are going pretty well for them they got some

got some hustle points hit a couple of threes and you know okay they can like they're making this a game

they were succeeding in some of the ways that we thought they could and then at the beginning of the second quarter that was the stretch for me where LeBron really put his first stamp on the game.

He had plenty of stamps but a big one where it was just him, no Anthony

Davis out there, and they turned what was a one-point deficit into very quickly a nine-point lead, most of which was LeBron including a couple of made

threes and we'll talk about that sequence a little bit but for me one of the other

really remarkable things about James performance was he decided to

answer a question that you and I had in our preview of who's going to guard

Zine Williamson if it's not going to be the Lakers and LeBron solved that by just

doing it his damn self.

It was one of the best performances that I've seen in person from James and part of that is because

the opposition was so overwhelmed by what he brought but I can't remember the last time he was this efficient

30 points in 23 minutes 4 of 4 from 3 8 of 8 from the line, 8 assists, took 3 charges in the first half, plus 36, a well-earned

game best performance from him, and this is a game where I mean I can't remember the last time

that watching James in person provided this kind of visceral thrill because he was just shot out of a
