I did miss last week because I was finishing up those goddamn summer classes.

So my apologies for that, but I'm back feeling good. How is everybody? How is everybody?

Fourth of July. I hope you had fun. I had fun. I didn't do much. I just, you know,

I went to a bar with a friend, but I will say we did drink beer, which is very,

very notably American. There's something just so American about beer.

I think it's the fact that there's a certain, if you're a beer drinker at all,

if you've ever had a beer, it's like you really value convenience over anything else,

which is deeply, deeply American, because it doesn't taste great. It's even the non-IPAs,

which are very soapy. It's a little bit, Dr. Bronner's ask. Doesn't taste too great,

especially if it gets the slightest bit lukewarm, things get dicey,

and um, makes you feel terrible, gets you bloated, all that yeast inside of you,

but it's all about the convenience. It's like, well, it's bad, but it's there.

And that is just, that's how I celebrated America, which is good enough. I mean, I love the city.

It's not really a place to be celebrating Fourth of July. A holiday where you're supposed to be,

what do you do? You like grill hot dogs, and you watch fireworks. I guess you could do that

in somebody's rooftop, and you, what else? You play with sparklers? God knows, it's probably

illegal in New York, because everything is, but you got to find a way to celebrate.

Have a little beer? Have a little beer with a, a straight male friend? It happens to the best of us.
