Summary

Stage 9 of the Tour de France was another hard mountain stage from Cluses to Tignes. But, just when we thought this race had settled down a bit, wet conditions and breakaway action kicks it into next gear!

Otherwise big news of the day were abandons from the peloton by some of our favourite riders. We wish them well on their recovery journeys and best of luck for the future.
