The second one had the intermediate sprint to the top. So Cav for sure wasn't going to be winning the intermediate sprint.

So we expected becks and bike by rain to pace there. There's pretty much flat all day. They've got a five K four percent climb.

But it finishes with my master correct thirty seven Ks to go and there's a short descent and then pretty much some exposed highway sections after that with a flat run into the finish.

There's a corner in like the last 400 meters. I think you need a bit of a chicane kind of like to stage three one you and crashed on so positioning was important.

And I think Benji I was hyping up the stage a little bit where I saw an opportunity for the moon and some other riders in the break.

I thought the quick step tram was a little bit light but we didn't really get a strong break today Benji and yeah were you surprised or were there reasons for that?

I think it's a it's a matter of a few combinations of things that occurred here. We have no attacks from riders from quick step. For example, let's hit it and Osgreen decides he wants to go in a break away.

Then you're reducing the amount of teams that are going to be basing all day in the peloton. That's on happening. They fully set at the start.

Okay, we're going for a cabinet from the start onwards and they weren't going to have that Joker card of having us get in the break away.

We try someone to understand if you want to sprint stage is already and what is less understandable as a team I guess M&D that instead of sending a certain crown this in the break away for a case bowl for example to prevent the team to have to do some work during the stage and have a stronger team at the end.

But also make sure that the gurning cat to spend more energy during the stage for when it comes to a sprint if the break away doesn't win.

So something like that could have occurred and I think that's what you're incinerating as well, you know.

Yeah, I think that's what maybe I mean the team I expected did try with with Tosh Thunder Thunder who I was confused with fun more.

And he was the to a doubt track was saying he was doing like 70% of the pulling so I guess they did try.

But yeah, it was a bike exchange and then you know bike exchange and bar rain are going to send a rider in the break because they want to go for the intermediate sprint with cold brilliant Matthews.

So that sort of hamstrung the first 80 kilometers those teams then out as well.
