Welcome back to Lashen Rouge Cycling Podcast for the Mountain TT in the Tour of France, stage 13.

The second mountain stage from Ludenville to Peregoud. The Peregoud is a very irregular, quite irregular climb, starts at about 1,000 meters

and finishes on the Altiport with ramps up to 16%. The last 250, 300 meters of this stage are interminable, very, very steep.

The last time this was in the Tour de France, it was a Sprinterdue between

Wingergaard and Pagatja after Brandon McNulty destroyed the Peloton and but today is the TT 11Ks. The first 3 and a half Ks, I mean, I don't want to call them flat.

For us, mortals, they're not flat, but it's 40Ks are now plus to the first intermediate,

which is flat and fast for these guys.

We had the absolute beat down yesterday, Benji, Pagaccha just, yeah, took two minutes plus.

Vingerga, started collapsed at the end.

Well, yeah, we had the TT backing up today.

I don't know what else.

Well, there's quite a bit of news we have to discuss in a weekly show at some point, but I think the major topic to discuss before the Stamtrol is equipment, because there was so much rumors, et cetera, about which bike is that rider going to ride? Is that rider going to go for a road bike or a T-T bike? Is there going to be a bike change out of three and a half kilometers before these mountain starts? And it all depends on the rider. And I think we need to start off this

discussion by saying that just because one rider chooses a TT bike and another chooses a road

bike and one of the two does better doesn't necessarily mean that that choice is wrong to go

for that bike because it depends on

rider by rider.

For example, let's say hypothetically I choose a time trial bike, but I can't keep myself

in position and I can't push the watts in a time trial position.

Then for me personally, a time trial bike is a very bad option.
