| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to the Lanthen Rouge Cycling Podcast with stage 17 of this Twitter France where there is no let-up it is all-out racing except for some of the sprint stages but on the non- sprint stages it's all-out racing every day from kilometer zero to the finish from |
| 0:14.6 | Saint-Paul Trotixateau to super-de-Louis, 178k's the first 138k's don't have a single categorized climb or even like a 2 |
| 0:25.4 | kilometer 4% climb and then there's the coal bayard 7k 7% about a 20 minute |
| 0:32.0 | climb short descent, a little plateau and a cold de noir, 7.6k is 8%, which is also, you know, it's quite difficult, there's bonus seconds, 8,5 and 2 on the top of that. |
| 0:44.3 | And then the finish is actually not that difficult. |
| 0:47.6 | Another short descent of about six, seven kilometers |
| 0:51.1 | and then a kick up to the line in Super Dev Louise. |
| 0:54.7 | So 4K6% to finish with a flat finish, not actually that hard. |
| 0:58.5 | And it's one of the last breakaway opportunities. |
| 1:03.0 | Everyone's been saying, |
| 1:04.0 | please let the break win, Benji. |
| 1:06.0 | We thought the break would win, |
| 1:08.0 | and but the problem for the break is this flat start. |
| 1:11.0 | It's so, it's just so tough for it to form there's no |
| 1:15.2 | little category three client to split it and get a carapas nicely in the break and |
| 1:19.9 | away you go. Exactly and yes there's 130 kilometers of it but we've seen so many |
| 1:26.0 | breakaway formation phases that took a lot a long time in this race and then |
| 1:29.7 | the the ticking clock starts as well because then you're thinking okay if you're UAE and if the breakaway takes half a stage to form at what point do you say to yourself oh we might as well try and start controlling it for a pull- stage when spoilers today they did not end up doing that. |
| 1:46.3 | But there was loads of stuff that did happen in today's stage and I would say that a lot of today's stage, |
| 1:52.1 | I'll say it differently. I think today's stage won't necessarily |
| 1:55.8 | be the most memorable, but there was so much action and it was honestly a great viewing experience |
| 2:02.1 | from start, almost to finish, maybe 10%, 15% of the race, I would say, is skip worthy, but the rest was definitely worth watching. |
