I remember what my answer was then, but the years that followed, I've thought about it a lot and thought, yes, politics is a mokey business, but then again, so has everything else since the fall. And it's an opportunity and an arena in which to serve. It's a mission field.

0:27.3	Tim Farron. Tim Farren's, for those of you that aren't familiar with the British political
0:31.4	context. He was the leader of the liberal Democrats between 2015-2017. So in the UK you've got Conservatives and Labour as two main parties,
0:41.9	but the Liberal Democrats are a very significant third party.
0:45.0	In fact, they are in coalition from 2010 to 2015,
0:48.4	and so they have a very significant voice, a key voice to play in our democratic system.
0:52.9	Tim's been a member of Parliament for Westmoreland Longsday since 2005, and before that, I gather you're in higher education. So that's a bit of introduction. Welcome. It's like having this, Simon. It's a pleasure to be here. It's great to have you. So most of my guests, Tim, are our friends over the years. I can't claim that of you yet, but you are friends with one of my
1:11.4	absolute best buddies on the planet Mark Harris, and he works as chaplain with Christians in
1:16.0	Parliament, and you're part of a weekly Bible study and Fesha group that Mark leaves.
1:21.4	I love the concept, by the way, you might want to talk into that, you know, these groups of
1:25.3	MPs and peers, cross party, all parties.
1:28.4	It's really precious, isn't it?
1:29.9	The unity of the body of Christ across parties.
1:33.2	Yeah, I mean, it's interesting.
1:34.3	I have literally just come from my Bible study fellowship time led by Mark Harris before joining you, Simon.
1:42.8	And in that group, you know, there's several Conservative MPs,
1:48.4	several Labour MPs, one or two members of the Scottish National Party,
1:52.8	an independent peer, a Conservative peer, and me.
1:56.3	And led by Mark and his colleague, Claire,
1:59.9	who have become really great friends,
