Hello and welcome back to day 30 of this 33 day preparation for total consecration to Jesus through Mary here on the Catholic Sprouts podcast. In this final section,

we are talking about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by his

titles so that we may come to understand him and embark on a true and deep and total relationship

with him. We've already talked about how he is the Messiah, how he is Emmanuel, how he is the carpenter's son, and how he is the ultimate teacher.

Now today we're going to talk about four different titles that really all come together as one.

And so the four that we're going to be talking about are the Lamb of God,

the bread of life, the high priest, and the Eucharist. So all of these things come together in a very

Eucharistic way. And yet each of these titles kind of gives us another dimension of this great gift in the

Eucharist that we have.

So let's start with the oldest, which is the Lamb of God.

Now, the Lamb of God refers back to a very specific story in the Old Testament.

If you remember, the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt for generations.

They cried out to God, God heard their plea, and he sent Moses.

But of course, the Pharaoh did not want to give up his slaves.

So God sent plagues upon the nation of Egypt.

He sent frogs and lice and turned the Nile to blood and all of these things.

But the final plague, God sent his angel of death into Egypt and killed the first born in every family,
