| 0:57.3 | Emmanuel, and the carpenter's son. Today, we are going to talk about Jesus as teacher. Now, |
| 1:05.3 | in the gospel, we very often hear the disciples refer to Jesus as rabbi, which is a Jewish term for teacher. |
| 1:14.7 | So let's think about how is Jesus a teacher? |
| 1:19.0 | Well, in the most obvious way, he's a teacher because he teaches. |
| 1:24.0 | Very often in the gospel, Jesus uses parables to teach. |
| 1:29.3 | Now, the parables can be a little bit confusing, and sometimes Jesus doesn't even explain them, but that's because parables are really deep lessons. |

| 2:21.1 | And third comes by a Samaritan. |
| 2:24.4 | Samaritans were foreigners. |
| 2:26.5 | The Jews thought that they were horrible, that they, you know, were worthless than dirt, just horrible people. |
