I've been up all night supergluing the backdrop.

Theresa May, referring to last year's disasters at her conference speech, certainly wasn't the case this time round, very carefully crafted, witty speech containing a clear statement of her ambitions in a lot of areas.

And Laura Bundock, do the trick.

Is Mrs May there for the foreseeable?

Oh, no.

Look, her performance is no guarantee of her future.

You can't, you know, let's not conflate the two things,

but let's look at her performance as a thing anyway,

because it was, without a doubt, a good performance for her.
