Well, I'm an alcoholic.

That's my main credential for being here.

I've been sober since 24th of July 1993. I've sponsored a few

hundred people. I've talked to many hundreds, if not thousands, more. Frankly, I think most of the

people we sponsor wouldn't call us their sponsors.

We don't think of ourselves as their sponsors.

But if I take input from someone, that's really what I'm doing.

I'm taking sponsorship from them, whether it's a live person, a piece of literature, a tape.

Some of the best sponsorship I've had is from tapes.

You can't answer back.

You can't argue.

You just have to do what they say.
